I Love this Movie

Recently while cyber stalking Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus...which is a small(yeah right) part of everyday. I came across Rotten Tomatoes review of the movie, 20% and I was like WHAT!!! THE!!! FUCK!!!!

Now, I had seen a clip on youtube where the guys talked about the review but, they just kinda blew it off...I had to read it to find out what these people had missed....I mean, I watch this movie all the time...I "know" lots of people who do and while I will admit some of it is just us ladies drooling over the brothers....

I know a LOT of dudes that love the movie, also.  SO after reading hte CRITICS reviews I gather they are upset because it didn't have enough moral content whatever the fuck that might be for them. Well I say ....

Now the audience reviews are 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and IMBd  7.8 out of 10 which equal cult classic..

So let me break it down....

1. The Brothers: Trying to clean up the scum, I mean who hasn't watched the news and thought about the world being better if some people weren't in it.  I know I would kill for my sister, hell I would kill for my best friend.

2. Agent Smecker: OMG, how could you not love Willem Dafoe's performance as Smecker...it was both beautiful and hideous all at the same time. Again law enforcement has to at least every once in a while want to turn a blind eye when the bad guys get what they deserve.

3. Boston's finest...Dolly, Duffy and Greenly...  Sure they are a little clueless but how can you not love them in their totally ineptitude.

4. Il Duce: Two words Billy Connolly.  In a behind the scenes short he talks about how Troy Duffy and the movie are like Rock and Roll ....you hear it and you are like this is for me ...it reaches in side you. Maybe that is why I love it so much I love Rock and Roll.

The reasons I love the first are the reasons I love the second but I must also throw in a couple new characters. 

5. Romeo..What can I say he is their Mexican which while not politically correct it is funny.

Romeo add comedy and dare I say a little emotion..since he is always crying but like he says they are a colorful people.

And by the way I seriously want to rock his hair someday!!

6. Eunice Bloom: Hot smart and rocks some killer shoes....I really like that she totally messed with Dolly, Duffy and Greenly, too!

So there is talk of a 3rd and I am waiting patiently....and I say

Ok it has been awhile folks, and I am sorry but......life got in the way. Today I want to introduce you guys to a wonderful person....I would hope that you know him already but in case you don't let me tell you about Sean Patrick Flanery.

Now, I first "met" Sean in Powder...that's right folks he played Jeremy...ya know Powder...not that he gets recognized for because I mean face it he was pretty unrecognizable in it but man what a performance. 

Then I really fell in love with him in Young Indiana Jones my teenage heart couldn't handle his cuteness...and so I followed his acting throughout the years. Imagine my giddiness when he was in Boondock Saints with my other love Norman Reedus...it was like the stars aligned in my favor..best day ever

Now he is in Dexter and doing an amazing job...makes me sorry it is last season...I want to see more.

But enough of that I want to talk about Sean as a person. Don't worry I am not suddenly delusional and think we are in a relationship

Sean is a great person and he writes a blog and post videos that inspire people everyday.

I really wanted to talk about his blog, it is personal and he lets us in and by doing so he lifts us up.  Sean believes in physical and mental health.  He also believes in person accountability, that in most cases, you are the reason you are the way you are.  Now I workout EVERYDAY  but I still am not where I want to be but....

Now recently as in a few days ago..I was having one of those days of why bother...you know the.... I have been doing this forever and not seeing any huge change and if I am not going to then why not sit on the couch and just eat what makes me "happy"...ok I know it doesn't make me happy but you know what I mean.

and suddenly on my twitter feed Sean popped up with a video ...and it was just what I needed

Everyday I see the people he touches, who have changed their lives with the help of his words. Christmas 14 is his charity to help kids get into martial arts because of how it helped him...for more on that read his blog.  Hell read it anyway for inspiration.

I will also warn you he is funny...and a little bit crazy but I love that about him.

Also, of course it goes without saying he is part of Flandus(Flanery/Reedus) and their friendship makes me smile....maybe because it reminds me a bit of me and my bestie.

My Obsession

Ok so anyone who follows me on twitter or facebook know I have this little obsession for Norman. 

 

 I have loved Boondock Saints since I first saw it YEARS ago and Norman and Sean have held my heart ever since, but in recent months my interest has grown.  I started this blog and suddenly I was spending in all honesty entirely too much time watching videos, looking at pictures and basically scouring the internet for anything Norman Reedus. I found other people with this same affliction. I have bonded with these people.

I began to wonder what it was about this man that has claimed our devoted attention....

 

I mean of course look at him 

But it is not just his looks....he is great to his fans

He talks to his fans ..stops to take pictures, breaks rules at Cons offering hugs and pics, follows us on twitter (NOT ME.......YET) and is in general a great guy.
 I really think it is his personality that truly wins us over, he is this accomplished actor and artist but in interviews he has this shy awkwardness about him that endears us all.

I am going to meet him in October and I really hope I don't have this reaction

I hope I am cool and collected and can at least form a coherent sentence. I have been trying to think of what to say or what to ask, ya know I don't want to ask the same fucking question everyone does.  I keep visualizing his face with a look like Jesus couldn't you come up with something original...then I think what should I wear, maybe I should buy something new or make something ...arghhhh!!!!

I have this feeling I'm just going curse at him..I do like to say fuck and I can totally see me just standing there staring at him and then just spitting a huge FUCK at him.

And maybe he will smile and I will suddenly have this moment of clarity and I won't act like a total fangirl but this cool chick that has seen everything he has ever been in and stalks him daily from afar...because in my mind he will  be saying 

Just kidding I just really want to meet this super cool guy and give him a hug( I have heard he gives great hugs)

Walking Dead and My Love for Daryl Dixon

OK so if you don't know about the Walking Dead....Leave now...Spoilers will follow!!!

Ok So Zombie Apocalypse ....Rick wakes up from a coma and is alone in a hospital with a strange warning written on door.

Been all kinds of jokes like "don't dead open inside" WHAT!!! So anywho he leaves and BOOM walkers.  I have to say the half chick was my favorite from that episode and his look like " o sorry you don't need this bike do you"....man had me laughing anyway he can't find his family , meets a guy and tells him he is heading to Atlanta, lucky him finds a horse and rides his ass there ...guess what LOTS of Walkers...lets them have the horse(ok that pissed me off a bit) finds some more folks and lets them help him get outta of town. In the process they leave Merle handcuffed to roof.   Sorry Merle you are a racist redneck...tough luck!  

 

They get back to camp and BOOM there is Rick's wife Lori who is sleeping with his best friend Shane... OOPS.  

 That is the moment people really started not liking her.  But soon after Daryl Dixon shows up.....and steals the show.

So Daryl Dixon is not in the comic books...he was written for Norman Reedus who tried out for Merle which was given to Michael Rooker....awesome choice...but they liked him so much they said "let's make a character for him" umm yeah good decision.  Daryl has MASSIVE appeal.  Why you ask.  It is a complex answer for people.

Let's look at Daryl, he is a dirty, bloody redneck who has a foul mouth and often had dead things hanging on him or at the very least dead parts of things.  But he has a HUGE fan base, admittedly a lot of them are ladies but also dudes.  

Maybe part of it is that Norman has added minute subtle layers to Daryl, we know by watching that he had a hard early life that has left him emotionally stunted and we at times get to glimpse that little boy looking for approval.

I can I fell in LOVE with the character while he searched for Sophia.  I honestly think I felt worse for Daryl than I did for Carol when Sophia stumbled out of that barn.

We also love his smart ass one liners or at least I do...
